The all-new Toyota Hilux GR Sport is here!
The 2022 Toyota Hilux GR Sport is one of the new additions to the GR product roll-out, and it is nothing less than impressive!
With its bespoke exterior design and engine output boosted to a whopping 165kW and 550Nm, this vehicle is an adventure waiting to happen.
The design of this vehicle was centred around showcasing a sporty and tough look, with an eye-catching black front grille and chrome Toyota lettering to really make an impression. The designers really did think of everything when it comes to this vehicle, from the smallest details such as a special LED light treatment to its 17” Alloy wheels!
The bumpers now include much wider over-fenders, in black, which have contrasting inserts. All of the new features are intended to give the vehicle an overall more aggressive look and feel. The main colours used throughout the design to achieve this look include mainly black and graphite.
Customers even have the option of choosing GR side decals on the doors, which come in three various design options and depend on the exterior colour chosen. This extraordinary machine comes in four exterior colours, namely Arizona Red, Graphite Grey, Attitude Black, and Glacier White.
The interior is just as exciting as the exterior, with a bespoke leather-trim steering wheel that has dramatic red stitching and special GR badging – talk about a sports car feel! The specific GR branding has even been added to the push start button as well as on the centre console. The front seats are inspired by racing and can be seen through the Alcantara inserts, the GR branding (once again) on the headrests and striking red accent panels.
Not to mention the advanced touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and don’t forget the standard Bluetooth and USB inputs.
When it comes to the actual drive and vehicle handling, there are new monotube shock absorbers that are specially paired with stiffer coil springs used to deliver improved stability and handling response. The tyres have been improved with a taller profile 265-65-R17 to improve off-road performance and handling.
One of the more exciting and newest features of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport is the panoramic view monitor, including a 360-camera and bird’s eye view of the vehicle’s complete surroundings, making the manoeuvring of this vehicle easier than ever.
Overall, this new addition to the Toyota family is bound to exceed all expectations and is going to make driving a breeze, both on and off the road!
